Yorkshire Gritstone Bouldering
Rich and I headed to Almscliffe today. We are both down in Yorkshire for Christmas with the family. Although cold and windy today it was dry and sunny so we headed up to Almscliffe to savour the delights of some gritstone bouldering.
Rich first learnt to lead here many years ago and my first visit was over 20 years ago. We had a great wee session once our fingers warmed up in the brutally cold wind.

Is it really winter?
It was 13 degrees today near Inverness. Andy and I headed to Moy and full of the festive spirit and tinsel headband to top it off he ticked his 24th consecutive monthly ascent of Little Teaser. (That's 2 years every calendar month. He must love that route!)
Lou and Andy from Newtonmore were also out enjoying the summer conditions as were Jonathan and Martin. Last week when strong winds passed through the Highlands many trees were blown down including a large section of the one next to the Big Flat Wall. Fortunately it doesn't effect any of the routes, see photo below.
