One of my favourite photos from last winter has won a photo competition in The Scottish Mountaineer, the magazine of the Mountaineering Council of Scotland (MC of S)

Alpha Mountaineering will feature in a Sunday paper supplement called Sporting Scotland tomorrow. The supplement is all about the many sporting activities available in Scotland. You can get it free in a copy of the Scotland on Sunday newspaper.

A day out rock climbing with Alpha Mountaineering is featured in the Adventure Sports section.

Friday 17th August 2007

Don't forget to tune into BBC2 Scotland tomorrow, Saturday afternoon. A live broadcast is planned of Dave MacLeod attempting a new route on Hell's Lum.

August has started well with a weak ridge ridge of high pressure across Scotland giving some dry weather.

I was out at Cummingston with Jillian and Katherine yesterday and today we climbed Finger's Ridge in Coire an t'Sneachda.
