Today and yesterday I was running dry tooling workshops. These were being held at Glenmore Lodge and were part of the Scottish Mountain Rescue annual Conference.
Teams from all over Scotland were together for a weekend of pre-winter training which included different workshops both on and off the hill. I believe a few shandy's might also have been consumed in the evenings.

Ski touring in the Cairngorms
Over the weekend there was a good forecast for sun and low wind on Sunday after the snowfall of the last few days.
Andy and Rachel decided to take advantage of the fine weather and ski across to Ben Macdui. They were not disappointed and enjoyed fine views west towards Braeriach and Cairn Toul.
There were a few other folk out ski touring and loads queueing for ski lifts in the resort. The buttresses in the northern corries looked like they were plastered with rime and fresh snow.
