Mountaineerig Skills in the north west highlands

Up in the north west highlands this weekend with the Aberdeen Uni Lairig Mountaineering Club.
It was very windy on Saturday so we stayed low and did some naviagtion in Guinard Bay in the morning and ropework skills in the afternoon at Jetty Buttress. On Sunday the winds dropped as did the temperatures. We climbed Sail Mhor and had some wintery snow showers in the afternoon.

Cold, windy and dry in the southern Cairngorms

I was working at Lochnagar this weekend with the Glasgow Uni Mountaineering Club.
There was a brisk NW wind on Saturday that got stronger and swung around to the SW today. There was plenty of sunshine yesterday and great views both days with no precipitation. I was teaching winter skills on both days with some students from the club.
