North sea sail and Norwegian rock
Last week Robin and I went climbing in Norway. Rather than jump on a plane we headed across the North Sea on a 24 foot sailing boat. Sailing Robin's Achilles 24 was a fantastic way to get to Jossingfjord in southern Norway where we spent a few days climbing on some incredibly rough anorthosite. Although we weren't completely sure we think that most of what we climbed has been climbed before. Some of the routes looked like they might be climbed as far back as 1985 when Pat Littlejohn climbed there. |
