Today I was working on Ben Nevis. I was organising the marshalling of a British Heart Foundation charity event.
Although there was low cloud and a fair amount of precipitation about 100 participants made their way to the top of Ben Nevis to raise money for the British Heart Foundation

Great holiday on Shetland
The family and I are just back from a great holiday to Shetland. It is a fantastic wild place with some awesome sea cliffs for walking on, climbing up and kayaking around.
While I was there I met Ross and Sid who where out putting up new routes on the sea cliffs. The photo here is of them doing the first ascent of Thranduil at the Eshaness headland. They have added 4 more lines this week at Eshaness and a couple of great lines at Nibon.

Scrambling and Munros on Skye
I was on Skye again this week. Although we had very mixed weather all week John and I had a great time. We did many of the Munros on the Black Cuillin sometimes in hail and gales, sometimes in light winds and sunshine and one day in low cloud and drizzle that felt like a monsoon.
We had some dry conditions for the Innaccessible Pinnacle on Sgurr Dearg during our round of Coire Lagan and coire Banachdaich. The highlight was probably a dry sunny traverse of Clach Glas and Blabheinn with great views across to the complete Skye Ridge.
