The Twelve Pins of Connemara

Last week I was on holiday in the Connemara on the west coast of Ireland.

On one of the days I was lucky enough to get out on to the small mountain range of sharp peaked quartzite hills called The Twelve Pins. Jack and I climbed four of the Pins including the highest Binn Bhn.

Although not huge, the largest Binn Bhn is 729m, they are very rough and steep. On a clear day you can see out into the Atlantic, across County Galway and north into County Mayo.
