Email from Alan 4th October 10: Thanks Nick, Thanks very much for getting us out there [on Skye] and doing some interesting stuff - particularly on the Wednesday when the weather was extremely Scottish ... All in all, a great week ... and we'll probably be back to bug you again one day. All the best, Alan

Email from Steve 2nd October 10: Nick, Just a quick note to say thanks for the photos which arrived today ... Thanks also for a very good 3 days guiding. Alan was pleasantly surprised
how "full on" Skye can be and your route knowledge was invaluable, especially on the steep bits. I was happy with what we achieved, considering both the weather and since my downclimbing seems to have deserted me. Must get out and do more before we come back for the Inn Pinn. Regards, Steve

Email from Kath and Steve 20th September 10: Hi Nick, The CD photos are super and an excellent record of two great days...Thanks so much (again) for all your efforts with us on Skye. We both really enjoyed the days and as always learnt some more techniques as well as having a great time. Never thought we would do either of those routes, and thanks for making it both possible and fun. We are definitely up for Ben Nevis in May and will get back to you soon with some dates...So we had a great time. Thanks again for all your help and see you in 2011. Take care, Steve and Kath

Email from Martin Docherty 9 June 10: Hi Nick ... The few days on Skye were a great experience for myself, a helpful insight into the skills I need to develop as well as being a whole lot of fun. It's certainly whetted my appetite for more of the same! I appreciated your patience and professionalism through out ... Thanks again, Martin

Email from Bob Jones 7 June 10: Thanks Nick, Thought I'd drop you a few line in any case just to say thanks again for doing the few days with us. A great time, exactly how it should be - easy company, relaxed but always focussed. Always felt secure on the short rope, and we got into spectacular places I'd have not thought possible without a bit of your reassuring presence and obvious competance on the hill and with the climbing. Great stuff! If we're going again or need a refresher, we'll be on the phone. If anyone is asking you how other clients have found working with you, a testamonial if you like, feel free to point them my way. All the best Bob

Email from Rob Munro 22 Mar 10: Hi Nick, Just a short note to say thank you for arranging Kenny as my instructor for this weekend's snow and ice course...Kenny was excellent. A really nice bloke with a calm and confident manner, clearly very knowledeable and he inspired confidence in me as the client. He pitched the weekend at just the right level and I had a thoroughly brilliant time. Please pass on my thanks again to Kenny. I would definitely climb with him again and recommend him to other clients. Warm regards, Rob

Email from Ed Fletcher 28 Jan 10: Dear Nick, I just wanted to say thank you very much for the fantastic weekend. You did a superb job off looking after a newbie and I learnt loads as well as making the best of difficult conditions and even enjoying the view when it presented itself! I'd also like to say that the little things were much appreciated, the small tips, the pics, the tumbler of hot juice, they make a big difference to a day out. If anyone asks I will be sure to pass on your details. Thanks so much for the pics, a lot of really good ones. I am now happy, but rather tired and plonked at my desk after a very early start this morning.
Best,
Ed

Email from Dave Farrow 28 Jan 10: Hi Nick, The course was really excellent, and covered loads of things that I
found useful. It was good to get out in some unusual conditions and
climb water ice.
At the same time, I've found that we still managed to cover everything
that is needed to climb a more traditional gully in the northern
corries. I was out last weekend and had a great time consolidating my
skills learnt on the course. I felt nothing was left out from the
course and nothing could be improved, especially given the conditions. Thanks,
Dave

Emails from Phil and Steve 21 Jan 10: Hi Nick, I certainly can confirm that I had a thoroughly great two days climbing. We were of course blessed in the fullest sense of the word with the weather. This having been my first experience using a guide I found it to be very positive. I think Nigel quickly had the measure of both of us and set routes accordingly. They were challenging, yet comfortable (if that makes sense). His obvious experience, local knowledge and professionalism meant that we felt safe and secure throughout whilst enjoying what were two wonderful days in great locations. His willingness to join us for a pint after each day certainly added to the experience. Enabling us to chat about the day, review what we had learned and to discuss improvements in setting up kit and our technique was great. Having not been winter climbing for about 15 years it has certainly left me with an appetite for more.
Kind regards,
Philip
Hi Nick,
We had a great couple of days with Nigel. Really enjoyed his company as well as his wealth of knowledge. The 2 routes he picked were right up our street, Oui Oui on fri & smoking the white owl on sat. Cheers, Steve

Email from David Milton 18 Jan 10: Hi Nick, Our time with you was really very helpful...I really enjoyed being out on the mountain again (with quite an appetite to try some ice climbing!). Dan and I have already pencilled our next trip in and are planning on Skye thanks to your recommendation. Personally, when I feel ready to try some proper climbing I'm quite sure you'll be the first person I'll get in touch with.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and your expert knowledge on not just mountaineering but also the environment of the mountains (flora, fauna etc) I really enjoyed.
All the best, David.

Email from Jo and Beth 18 Jan 10: Hi Nick, We had an absolutely brilliant couple of days and reckon we made
the most of the conditions - what an amazing introduction to winter
climbing! Organisation was spot-on and Kev was excellent, choosing good
locations and routes and always talking through what he was doing and
why, so we learnt a lot as well as getting up stuff. I really enjoyed
the long route on Aonach Mor - a properly satisfying mountain day.
In
fact, we were so hooked that we climbed Central Gully on Great End in
the Lakes the following week, which I doubt we'd have even considered
before the course. So thank you for opening up a world of opportunity! All the best,
Jo
Hello Nick
Don't think I can say much else on top of what Jo's already said, those two days were incredible and totally worth it. Looking back at the photos I can't believe what we managed to do. We've already started planning our next trip too,
thanks a lot,
t'ra
